blah blah blah blah blah
Woohoo! Kevin and I have moved our wedding forward to December 30th 2006. It will be such a lovely time. We can spend the last day of the year together married and start the new year together as we mean to be for the rest of our lives. I've always really wanted a winter wedding...there will be candles and dark evenings and cozy warmlights, mulled wines and smells of vanilla and cinamon! It might be soggy and wet outside, but I don't mind. I love Kevin and I can't wait...really, I wish it was this year!
Ali said she was going to wear mittens....do you know what...I would so LOVE to have some sparkly pink mittens and a scarf to go with my wedding dress. I've never really dressed the way people expect me to so why do it on my wedding day...people usually look at me and say 'what is she WEARING???'. So why not on my wedding day..I can pull it off (hehehe)!
But since the wedding has now been moved forward, we'd better get plans started. We went to look at reception venues yesterday again.
We didn't really like Whitworth Hall, their attitude was snotty and the rooms sme4lled of smoke and the fire in the room didn't work and looked like a messy pile of logs (not in a pretty, rustic way...just a plonked pile). Beamish was okay, but still not right. Lumley Castle was too dark and a bit medievil. The Royal County at Durham was lovely and is so far the most promising. The people were so nice and the place was clean and lovely. Everywhere we have been so far has looked nice from a distance but when you get close up is quite worn and dirty. Hallgarth Manor was also nice.
We looked at the sgae, but I'm not sure if its tooooo modern and the balcony that they say is overlooking the river is actually overlooking a coach and car park with a slight view of the river.
Anyway, enough blerb on weddings.
I went to mandys last night to make jam tarts with her little brothers and sisters. Uts the first time I've really sen what they are like away from Ronny and Leigh. I can see why Moo loves them so much. They are the lovliest kids. She should be proud and they love her to pieces. Its sweet. Moo says she doesn't want kids...I think she'd make a great mammy...sorry moo!
I missed Ali a lot last night. I don't know why in particular last night, but I did. I was remembering lots of silly things and it made me re - remember (if you can do that) all the reasons why I chose Ali as a friend and it made me love her more. I can't wait to visit. She might come up for the party. She hasn't said anything so I don't want to get my hopes up.
Started my Christmas shopping yesterday. Gareth is the easiest person to buy for in the world. I could have bougt him everything that I saw. I kind of went round saying, he'd love that, he'd love that...and I couldn't choose. I'm not going to write what I got because he might read this.
I know what I'm getting Kevin...but thats it.
God has been really good to me and Kevin this week. I had another week with 5 full days work which is very helpful especially since I'm way behind on bills and stilll need to pay for flights for my mam and dad.
My dad is so sweet. He came around on Fr4iday and brough me a teddy because he saw it in the shop and had to get it for me. sweet is that. I know I call him someimes, but this is how my dad used to be. He might be getting back there! S'gud!!!!
Thereds something else I want to rant about but I can't be bothered to do that now, plus this entry has gone on long enough saying nothing. I'll do it later
