happy days
Woohoo. Been waiting for a chance to update but have been the busiest busy I have been for a long time. Work schedule has been jammed and then decorating and squeezing in a sort of social life has resulted in no diaryland time.
I have some very good news.
I had a job interview on wednesday for a year 1 class in a very lovely school. The children were amazingly polite and EDUCATED...seriously, its been a long time since I have seen a school like that. Anyway I had my interview and had a major balls up! I was disjointed, did not refer clearly to objectives, neglected to share the success criteria that I deliberatly displayed so as not to forget to share it and I was clumsy with the book and fumbly with the pages, so not reading it very well. Anyway, I left the interview feeling sorry for my little self adn went back tothe car to ring kevin...I had 9 missed calls and a voicemail...from the head of my favourite supply school telling me to ring him asap. so I did! He asked how my interview went...I told him it was rubish, he said, "I'm pleased, we have a job here for you for a term to complete your induction year."
I nearly died on the spot. He said I could wait and see what happened with the other job that I went for as it was for 2 terms as opposed to 1 and offered a litle more stability...however, on thinking, I reasoned that it would be better to do 1 term in a school that I loved where I knew the kids and know I will be supported than go into the unknown just because of money. So I rang the interview school, withdrew my application and accepted the job offer!
I HAVE A JOB IN MY FAVOURITE SCHOOL! see how God works things out! I wasn't supposed to get the other jobs because there was a job waiting for me at my favourite school...just up the road from where I live! Also I found out that the head from my old school (the really horrible one) just got a headship at one of the schools where I got rejected....I can't imagine how much I would have wanted to die if I had just started my new job and she walked in. So there we have it. I now see that there was a plan all along...I just had to be patient.
Really funny thing was though, that the job I went to interview for called me back even though I withdrew and said they thought I was impressive and had I really accepted the other job! hahaahaaa. No jobs for like...ever, then 2 in one day! s'all gooood!
I'm a very happy me! Jobs good, family is good, friends are good, kevin is Great, church is good, house is good, health is good, wedding is coming along nicely. do do dooooo...this is one of those times that I just want to put in a box to remember when things go wrong so that I can remember that things ALWAYS work out.

Also, Visited Enola this weekend. It was surreal seeing someone in person who only ever appears as a little diaryland box and have spoken to once. The visit was mainly for moo to meet her but I wanted to too and since I had a car thought it would be good to go down with her. Anyway, Enola is lovely and even prettier in person than her photographs. I had a nice time and felt very welcome. Hope to be able to return the visit one day and invite her here!
