a near miss and a choir
Have been so sick - bleurgh! Went out for Dinner on Friday night and got food poisoning and was very very sick all night and all day saturday and Sunday with almost disasterous consequences for my wedding!
My little sister came to visit on Saturday and wanted me to try on my dress so she could see it. I wasn't exactly feeling great but had not been sick for about an hour so I thought it would be safe.
All was well until she yanked the back of the dress and tightened the corset turning my face green. She had to rip open the dress (thankfully not damaging it) I literally just managed to jump out of it and throw myself across the room before I hurled all over just missing the dress! Imagine walking down the isle with huge sick stains down your dress. Phew, close call.
Yesterday I restarted the youth choir ( For those who don't know I used to run a choir for teenagers at my church and they were actually pretty good)
I had a great time. This time the kids weren't chuch kids. They are a group of girls, all about 15 who just like singing. I dont want to be mean about the but they are the stereotypical 15 year olds to the letter! I loved them. They were cheeky but enthusiastic, loud and over confident but willing to give it a go. Agressive and moody at times but easy to level with and one has an absolutley AMAZING voice. I really can't wait to really get it going.
I have an obscenely large amount of SATS marking to do tonight for moderation (so obviously this entry is me excercising my ability to procrastinate!!!).
Really must go unless I want to be marking at 3 in the morning...which I really...really don't
