quick catch up
Hahahaha hollyfae just translated my French (see previous entry) and showed me just how bad I am...just think people, I teach this subject to your children!!!!!!!!!!
I am, at this moment a tad upset. I just made my morning cup of coffee with the last of the coffee and have discovered that the milk is indeed sour and forming tiny curdled fluffy blobs on the top. oh dear :-(
It is the summer holidays and I have 6 weeks to just chill out...let me just rub that in again for you so you get the full effect - 6 WEEKS WITHOUT WORK HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA.
However, after that I am starting my new job ( I didn't get the job at the school where I spent the past term). It is finally a full time permenant post which I am reallly excited about...however it is with years 5 and 6 mixed (9 -11 year olds). This terrifies me since I am mainly qualified to work with 3-7year olds and the curriculum is so different plus there is so much SAT pressure and it means I am really going to have to sort out my spelling and grammar. I mean for goodness sakes, I looked at some of the stuff I am supposd to be teaching and I swear I didn't do half of it until I was in secondary school. It will be fun!
I met my class and they seem like a really lovely lot. Not like the classes at the school where I just left!
I have to say that I was really sad to leave because I made some really good friends and I really did get on with ALL of the staff (one got on my nerves a bit but she wasn't too bad). Also, this has been the first head teacher who has appreciated me for who I am and understands that the way that i work is not exactly conforming to the norm but it works for me and it gets the results needed. At least I amused him while I was there!!!
It's now getting closer to the wedding and things are just as unorganised as ever. I thought I had my bridesmaid dresses sorted but the lady completely went over my budget in her quote and now I'm devastated! I couldn't find what I wanted in the shops or magazines nd I described it to her and she drew it exactly and then said she wanted £215 per dress!!!!
Anyhoo, I'm off to get more milk and coffee and sort out my mid morning trauma!
